Frog on the Pumpkin

at a friends Halloween party! (Yes, there might have been a martini or two involved in the thievery !) It is a cool plastic spider. Kinda creepy. Sits on my piano most days....that is when the cats don't run off with it. This piece is one of the reasons the last spider is dead. :) I saw this thing and knew I could do better. Remember the post about my friend that found a frog and took a picture of it for me, then went into Photoshop and actually made me a "frog queen"? Well, to my surprise the other day I got a print of it in the mail. It is printed on a shiny silver surface and it looks fantastic. I love it. And, it has given me an idea for a project I have had in mind.....more to follow.

How much I love the Brandywine Cemetery haunt? Their work is stunning - really makes me want to step up my game. We have been talking about the next steps for the display and although I started down this path of wanting everything the same set of colors, I am really warming up to the idea of this kind of realistic painting and detail. What masters!!

who's there....it is my new mailman. He comes up to the door to deliver the mail. Not a big deal? Well the mail box is at the end of a pretty long driveway, so he really must have had a good reason to get out of his truck and trek up here. "Hi, I am your new mailman" "Great" we say "glad to meet you." "I just wanted to tell you how excited I am get get this new route so that I get to deliver to your house." "Really?" we say. "Yeah, I get to tell my kids that I get to deliver to the "haunted house" they are so excited!" (we laugh) "Except for my youngest, he is seven, he is worried for me. He says the house is scary." (more laughing from all of us) We smile, "Ah, tell him that we will make sure nothing happens to you :)"

something to all of you. You know I love blogging and blog almost daily....so you might think, where does she find the time everyday to do that? Ah, well, that time is actually between about midnight to 3:00 am on Saturday night (I know, I am a party animal.) I write a dozen or more entries and schedule them all to post on different days. Sneaky aren't I? That way, most days, I just check all your blogs while mine is on auto pilot. Well not completely, take this post for instance. I just found out (what some of you knew already) that I got a blog award from Creepy Cupcakes ! Woohoo ! And a nice write up, rendered me (almost - good try) speechless . That was very sweet. So I must make the time to post my latest blog award. Now I have also received awards from some of you other great bloggers and I promise I am working on an idea to display them all. They are safely sitting in a folder on my harddrive. Hopefully I get to that before Halloween, but don't get your hopes up. The p...
