Going to the Chapel
...and we're gonna get..... no life during the summer. :) (We are almost done with the Chapel, in fact, if all goes well, most of it goes up tonight. But I have not been documenting it here. So I am going to retrospectively show you through the chapel build.) After a few years of planning, we finally decided to sell the abbey and build a chapel. The plan is that this will be easier to put together than the abbey has been. The abbey took an entire weekend, a scissor lift and an army of people to set up. This new chapel should go up in a few hours. This is the SketchUp plan. Front view from SketchUP Here is the real chapel that we modeled it after. Ardgowan Chapel in Scotland Yeah, we decided to phone it in this year :D
Looks great! Wish I had a super cool spot like that to be creative and a chandelier to boot! Congrats!
ReplyDeletewow--looks fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely rich color on the walls. It is very elegant indeed.
ReplyDeleteLove that the walls look like leather - at least in my opinion. Very nice & I'm envious!
ReplyDeleteCan you lend me your decorator? I NEED a place like this.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! Excellent taste, as always.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's nice!
ReplyDeleteyou can't possibly work in there. It's entirely too clean. ;)
How elegant! Love the chandelier!
ReplyDeleteYou have to let me get rid of that wireless antenna, it totally throws off the Feng-Shui.
ReplyDeleteIs dat some Robert Smith... of the cure?
ReplyDeleteLOL! I told husband that the antenna has got to go....he promises me that its final resting place in the basement....which is our next project!
ReplyDeleteOh, and yes, of course that is Robert right next to the frog in a wine glass pic....the FQ has many sides :D
Cheers!
Oh good catch Mantan - I didn't even see Robert there. Used to have that Boys Don't Cry t-shirt but I don't know what happened to it. Probably wouldn't fit me anymore anyway.
ReplyDeleteThe FIRST thing I noticed was the Cure poster...which was synchronicity since I happen to be listening the "Pornography" album at the moment! Absolutely LOVE the poster!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! THe chandelier is such a nice touch.
