the lighting in the yard.
I have to say that hands down it was one of the biggest improvements to the display, and also one of the most costly. We currently have about $1,200 invested in Minispot Lights and $300 in low voltage landscape lighting - which I will feature in another picture (we use industrial transformers, not the cheap ones that come with the kits - again completely worth the money.)
I cannot say enough great things about Bert and Minispot Lights (he also did all the lighting for the Nightmare Factory Haunt - donated everything - cool guy!) I know that you can make them a bit cheaper by hand, but his lights have never failed...not once, and we have had them out in the Oregon rain for 5 years now. That is saying a lot.
We purchased them in batches ever year at Hauntcon to amass the collection we have now. I would say to any haunter that this type of lighting is one of the best investments you can make in your yard haunt.

Looks great! That's one of my biggest challenges it seems, getting my tombstones lit the way I want them... yours look awesome!
ReplyDeleteMost impressive. Thanks for reading my mind and posting the answer before I even asked the question.
