But the person that I really owe

an apology to is Jeremy over at iZombie.  Not only did he make me the banner treatment you see above, but he also created me this very cool background for my computer screen.....and it is even work safe. (It does not look too much like Halloween, well, at least no one has complained yet :D )  So I have replaced my LOLcat picture with this awesome background...which everyone loves.

Thank Jeremy for sharing your creativity with me.

For those of you that don't know, Jeremy has a blog called iZombie and is one of the administrators with Carl at (one of my favorite blogs in the whole wide world) I Like Horror Movies of the Horror Bloggers Alliance.

Busy guy and a great asset to the blogging community.

  1. Very nice background and Jeremy does great work.

But I must ask, what sort of job would Halloween desktop wallpaper be considered work inappropriate (aside from gory images, severed limbs, etc.)? I can't imagine anything classically Halloween related would be considered work inappropriate. It's not like Halloween is a non-secular holiday.

Maybe I'm just confused. But I know the office I work in tries to stay politically correct as possible considering our diverse environment here. Yet I've used Halloween and haunt pics for wallpaper all the time (including pics from yours and even pumpkinrot). Never ONCE have I had a complaint.

  2. I work in an office that has several employees that have belief systems that believe Halloween to be an offensive holiday.

I have been told that displaying anything about about Halloweeen is considerd causing a hostile work enviroment. :)

    Fun, huh? :D

  3. Oh wow really? Don't think I could work in that sort of environment. I'm very vocal about Halloween.

We have pretty diverse cultures and religious beliefs in this office including but not limited to various subsets of Christianity, Hindu, Muslim, and Buddhist.

Our secretary does up the lobby with very traditional decor for most holidays including Christmas (lights, tree, faux presents, but no religious elements) and Halloween (pumpkins, corn stalks, etc.). We even hold in-office ToTing for our kids. We're allowed to decorate our cubes, we have a clown, etc. It's just really hard for me to imagine an environment that's anything otherwise.
