a luminary from a church and now this prop ended up looking a lot like a nun. I think I have some issues that I still need to get over :D
Here is our latest monument prop we are calling Margie at the moment. Margie will replacing the talking head this year. She will sing this very cool Halloween song and say a few lines from time to time. She is heavily borrowed from the exit version of Leota at Disneyland.
This statue is about 2/3 the size or our normal statues and will have a projection effect on the face.
We want this one to look like it is partly carved from stone, so although I created the whole statue, we are going to encase part of it in foam so that it looks like stone.
Here is progress I made by the end of the day on Saturday.
She looks very cool, love the draping on her outfit :)

ReplyDeleteA request... So many folks talk about how to make a projection /madame Leota effect prop yet never many details on the actual projector/type/brand etc. Hope you might share those details one day.
